Scheme Of Inspection and Testing

 1. LABORATORY - A laboratory shall be maintained which shall be suitably equipped and staffed, where different tests given in the specification shall be carried out in accordance with the methods given in the specification. 1.1 The manufacturer shall prepare a calibration plan for the test equipment.

2. TEST RECORDS – The manufacturer shall maintain test records for the tests carried out to establish conformity.

3. LABELLING AND MARKING – The labelling and marking on each and every product as per the BIS guidelines should be permanently affixed, resistant to remove, scratching and should not be easily washed off.

GROUPING GUIDELINES
1. Copper Wire Rods for Electrical Applications according toIS 12444: 2020 is classified on the basis of Type of Wire Rod, Nominal Diameter, ranging from 6 mm to 35 mm.
2. Accordingly, following grouping based on diameter of the product, shall be followed for considering grant of licence/change in licence scope as per IS 12444: 2020
3. One sample of each type from each group of any size for licence/change in scopeof licence(CSoL) may be drawn and has to betested for all the requirements of the specification and applicable to the size tested. If thesample passes, then licence may be granted/inclusion be done for all sizes for Copper Wire Rods for Electrical Applications of the Group, provided that thefirm is having all the necessary manufacturing and testing facilities for the manufacture andtesting of the sizes of Copper Wire Rods for Electrical Applications to be included in the licence.
4. Manufacturing/Testing facilities & capabilities to be verified with respect to sizes andaccordinglysame may be covered in the scope of licence.
5. While considering GOL/CSoL of additional varieties in licence scope, it shall be ensured that theapplicant/licensee has got the complete manufacturing and testing facilities for all the sizesvarieties applied.
6. During the operation of licence, BO shall ensure that all the sizes covered in the licence aredrawn for independent testing on rotation over a period of time.

1) Manufacturer shall declare the model(s) of each type(s) of electrical appliance(s) manufactured by them and declare the following parameters of each model : a) Description of the Appliance; b) Rated voltage; c) Rated Wattage; d) Rated input power; e) Class of appliance; f) Insulation class; g) Degree of protection (IP); h) Other product specific requirement, i.e. volume, capacity. Etc.
